Halifax integrated health clinic — physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage & more.
Jenna was born and raised in Whitney Pier, Cape Breton, and has proudly called Halifax home for the past ten years. Her path into acupuncture began as a patient — she experienced firsthand the profound impact that acupuncture had on her own health and wellbeing, and that experience sparked both a career change and a lasting commitment to helping others heal.
As a Black acupuncturist, Jenna is deeply committed to providing inclusive, culturally aware, and compassionate care. She is intentional about creating a safe, welcoming space for all patients — particularly those from historically underrepresented communities who may have had mixed experiences with healthcare settings. In a field where representation matters, Jenna brings visibility and intentionality to every appointment.
When she is not in the clinic, you can find Jenna at the gym, deep in a good book, playing video games, or causing a ruckus with her best friends.
Jenna specializes in orthopedic acupuncture and electroacupuncture, with a strong focus on treating acute and chronic pain conditions through evidence-informed, patient-centered practice. Her treatments are tailored to the individual — always with recovery, mobility, and quality of life as the central goals.
A specialized approach that applies acupuncture within a Western anatomical and musculoskeletal framework. Jenna uses needling to target specific muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves — making this an effective option for patients with sports injuries, repetitive strain, and structural pain conditions.
A technique that applies a small electrical current to acupuncture needles to enhance therapeutic effect. Electroacupuncture is particularly useful for nerve pain, chronic musculoskeletal conditions, and cases where stronger stimulation is therapeutically appropriate.
Every treatment plan Jenna develops is grounded in the patient’s specific presentation and goals. She combines evidence-informed techniques with close attention to how each patient responds, adapting her approach session by session.
– Musculoskeletal injuries and joint pain
– Back pain and neck pain
– Nerve pain (neuropathy, sciatica)
– Sports-related injuries
– Acute and chronic pain conditions
Jenna begins every initial session with a thorough assessment of your condition, history, and goals. She creates a treatment space that is welcoming, safe, and free of judgment — one where your comfort and needs are always the priority.
The treatment itself is typically relaxing and well-tolerated. Jenna explains each step, checks in on your comfort, and tailors needle placement and stimulation to your specific presentation. First sessions often include a brief overview of what to expect from acupuncture treatment more broadly, particularly for patients who are new to the practice.
