About Chiropractic Care Services

At Evolve Integrated Health, our chiropractors focus on finding and treating the root cause of your pain — not just managing symptoms. Using hands-on manual techniques, we work to restore proper joint function, reduce pain, and help you get back to the activities that matter to you.

What sets chiropractic care at Evolve apart is our collaborative approach. Your chiropractor works alongside colleagues in physiotherapy, massage therapy, athletic therapy and other disciplines to make sure your treatment plan covers every angle. When your care needs more than one perspective, we coordinate it seamlessly.

How We Treat

Our chiropractors take an evidence-based, patient-centered approach. Every treatment plan starts with a thorough initial examination to understand your condition, your goals, and your history. From there, we build a personalized plan that combines the techniques best suited to your needs.

Manual Therapy and Adjustments

Hands-on techniques to restore joint mobility, reduce pain, and improve function. Our chiropractors are skilled in a range of adjustment and mobilization methods tailored to your comfort level.

Active Release Therapy (ART)

A specialized soft tissue technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves caused by overuse, injury, or repetitive strain.

Rehabilitation and Exercise Prescription

Targeted exercises to strengthen weak areas, improve stability, and prevent re-injury. Our rehabilitation programs are designed to get you moving confidently and keep you there.

Advanced Modalities

When your treatment plan calls for it, our chiropractors integrate shockwave therapy and low-level laser therapy to accelerate tissue healing and reduce inflammation.

Education and Prevention

We believe informed patients get better results. Your chiropractor will explain your condition, teach you strategies for managing it at home, and help you build habits that support long-term health — not just short-term relief.

Chiropractic Care FAQs

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

No. You can book directly with any of our chiropractors without a referral. If you are not sure chiropractic is right for you, start with a free 15-minute consultation.

What happens at my first chiropractic appointment?

Your initial examination (45 minutes) includes a detailed health history, physical assessment, and discussion of your goals. Your chiropractor will explain their findings and outline a recommended treatment plan. Treatment may begin during your first visit if appropriate.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your condition, its severity, and your goals. Some patients experience significant relief in 3–5 sessions, while chronic or complex conditions may require a longer treatment plan. Your chiropractor will discuss expected timelines during your initial exam.

Is chiropractic treatment covered by insurance?

Most extended health insurance plans in Nova Scotia cover chiropractic care. We offer direct billing for major providers. Call us at 902-707-5429 if you have questions about your specific plan.

Can chiropractic care help with headaches?

Yes. Tension headaches, cervicogenic headaches, and some migraines can be effectively treated with chiropractic care. Your chiropractor will assess whether your headaches have a musculoskeletal component and recommend the appropriate treatment approach.
