Originally from Ireland, Daragh’s interest in movement and human performance began through sport at a young age, including Gaelic football, hurling, and squash. His early academic training focused on health, exercise, and physiology, graduating from University College Dublin (UCD) with a BSc in Health and Performance Science in 2013. He later completed an MSc in Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Reading in 2015.
Although Daragh initially pursued a career in nutrition, his long-standing interest in rehabilitation and movement ultimately led him to Physiotherapy. In 2019, he relocated to Glasgow, Scotland, where he focused on developing both his clinical skills and personal growth before completing his MSc in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University (QMU) in Edinburgh in 2021.
Since graduating, Daragh has gained experience across multiple clinical settings, including neuro rehab, cardio-respiratory, elective/ trauma orthopaedics, and musculoskeletal care. Daragh treats all MSK/ orthopaedic conditions, with a special interest in concussion rehabilitation, particularly supporting individuals with persistent symptoms who feel their recovery has plateaued or become unpredictable.
Daragh’s treatment approach to concussion care is grounded in evidence-based practice and systems integration. He works to identify the underlying drivers of symptoms by assessing the interaction between the brain, visual system, vestibular system, autonomic nervous system, and cervical spine. He utilizes both diagnostic technology and detailed bedside assessments to identify system dysfunction and guide treatment planning. Rehabilitation programs are highly individualized and designed to restore capacity, improve stability and systems integration, and rebuild your foundations step-by-step.
He maintains a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, continually refining his clinical reasoning and rehabilitation strategies to reflect current research and best practice.
Outside the clinic, Daragh enjoys strength training, Gaelic football, hiking, and exploring Nova Scotia with his wife Allison and their dog Rue.
Bonus fact: Daragh has lived with a stutter his entire life. This experience has shaped his perspective as a clinician, fostering empathy, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the challenges individuals face when their bodies or brains are not performing the way they should. His own journey has strongly influenced his passion for helping people navigate complex and often misunderstood conditions such as persistent concussion symptoms.
